Families and individuals (1 to 11 visitors)
The G7 Summit will take place in Évian-les-Bains from 15 to 17 June 2026. The organization of this event may affect mobility but also other services in the Geneva region, in particular:
- Increased checks at the Franco-Swiss border from 10 to 19 June
- Closure of 28 border crossing points between the Canton of Geneva and France from 12 to 18 June
- The Science Gateway at CERN will remain open as usual, unless otherwise decided by the authorities.
Visitors planning to visit CERN during this period are kindly requested to make the necessary arrangements for their travel and to carry valid travel documents for crossing the border (identity card or passport).

Admission to Science Gateway is free, but registration is required.
- Online registration is recommended up to one month in advance and guarantees entry.
- On-site registration is also possible, subject to availability.
- Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

More activities to book on site
Some activities, such as guided tours and lab workshops, require a separate on-site reservation after checking in at the venue.
- Reservations can be made through your personal booking page (on your phone) or at the welcome desk with our staff.
- Due to high demand and limited capacity, only about 10% of visitors will be able to join the guided tours or lab workshops. However, the other activities offered will allow you to enjoy an experience of more than 3 hours.

On-site booking conditions
- Guided tours: reservations open 2 hours before the start (not before 08.30).
- Lab workshops: reservations open 1 hour before the start (not before 08.30).
- System: first come, first served, based on availability. Bookings are open to all present visitors, regardless of their arrival time
Frequency by season
- In summer and on Sundays, the number of guided tours for families and individual visitors is increased.
- Sundays are reserved exclusively for families, individual visitors, and small groups (under 12 people).
- No guided tours during the holiday period, from Friday, December 19, 2025, to Monday, January 5, 2026, inclusive.
