CERN Guided Tours

CERN guided tours

We can offer your guests a tour of one of approximately 15 different points, chosen according to availability, in up to 30 languages.
From workshops to accelerators and control rooms, go behind the scenes of the world’s largest scientific laboratory!
Most guided tours take place above ground only, as underground areas are not accessible most of the time.

Special access rules

Please note that guided tours take visitors within the fenced part of the CERN site. The CERN site access rules require your guests to be fully registered and to keep their personal visitor card visible for the duration of  the tour. For this reason, we will need to receive the following information for each visitor, at least 48 hours prior to the guided tour: last name, first name, date, place and country of birth, and nationality.
Some visit points have further restrictions for pregnant women and people with reduced mobility,  medical implants or pacemakers. We will therefore need to know if any of the members of your party are subject to these restrictions.
